When Wellingborough Homes began life in December 2007, we promised to improve the condition of tenants' homes through a major refurbishment programme. We're well on track to deliver that promise, and are more than half way through our programme having recently completed our 3000th home.
It's full steam ahead from 2009 to 2012, as we're set to spend around £31 million pounds on a major home improvement programme across Wellingborough and the surrounding areas. This will be the biggest investment in Wellingborough's rented homes for many years.
The works will include:
- Fitting new kitchens and bathrooms
- Replacing external windows and doors
- Installing new heating systems
- Carrying out electrical improvements
- Roof replacements.
The extent of the work done in each property will depend upon the current condition of your home, but we expect most residents will receive a new kitchen (unless you've recently had yours replaced).
